Dog Drama

We got a new dog. Her name is Maggie and she is Wesley's best friend. She is a black and tan coon hound and soooo sweat. One day she had an enormous growth on her cheek/neck we decided to wait it out and see what happened. So we waited it out through the weekend. That monday we took he to Doc. Lot in morgan. He is our horse vet. The boys came with me and he took one look at her and said she had an abscess. He poked her in the cheek and blook streamed out. Oh did I mention Wes was there watching. Not much bothers him so he wanted to watch. He was doing great. Then Doc pulled out the needle and grabbed some tweezer scissor things and opened up the poke. He then holding the poke open began to sqeeze out the infection. At this point Wes had not passed out but had literally fallen to the floor and was white as a ghost. He kept saying my tummy hurts real bad mom. So I had him go sit on the bench in the waiting room. Where he started to panic a little saying "mom maggie is dead!!" over and over. I calmly reminded him that she is not dead and that she will get better now that the doc got out the infection in her cheek. I had to run out and get my wallet in the car. When I came back in Wes did not look good at all! He said" I am sick mom and I need to go to the bathroom" We RAN to the bathroom where he had all his panic coming out both ends:( He was throwing up everywhere and had horrible diarrhea. I felt just awful. I had the Dr put maggie in the car on the floor in the front while we were in the bathroom for 20 minutes or more. We came out to the car and I told Wes to close his eyes and the Maggie was in the front asleep. He got in and was soooo upset still. He said over and over "Mom I don't want Maggie anymore, lets just give her a way." I said lets just see how she is in the morning and then you can decide. Then about half way home Maggie popped her head up and looked right at Wes. Which in turn he exclaimed
"MOM LOOK ITS MAGGIE, SHE IS ALIVE!!"
He was so excited he could hardly stand it. I had to ask " do you still want to give her away" He was very certain when he said "No can we please keep her?" :)

Andy's going to College!

Wes loves movies, it took him along time to where he would actually sit through a whole movie but now he loves them. He love the disney cartoons, even the princess ones. Not for the princess' but for example he wants to watch Guss Guss not cinderelli. He also love Toy Story and Cars. Well, while I was gone to Vegas. He was watching Toy Story 3, one he has watch a couple times before. He was watching it in my room and Brandon went outside for a minute. And came back in to a screaming little boy. They called me and I could hear him crying uncontrollably in the back ground. The kind where he gasps for a breath. So I thought he had been hurt or something tragic, I honestly thought he may have broken something. So Brandon says to me you have to talk to him and see if you can calm him down, but would not tell me what was wrong. So I got Wes on the phone and asked him if he was ok, what was wrong and what happened. I could not understand him and what he was saying he was crying sooooo hard. Finally I said take a deep breath and tell me what is wrong. He tried and all he say was "Andy went to college mom" and then the tears started to flow again. It was all I could do to control my laughter. What a tender little boy. He later was able to tell me that Andy was going to college and he was leaving his toy behind. He could not believe Andy would leave his toys. I love that he has such a sweet tender heart. I love this little boy!

What Happens in Vegas!

Not really appropriate for a child of 3 yrs old. But I have another funny story. I went to Las Vegas for a Cosmetology convention and was gone for a few days. Wes was actually missing his mom! I was playing with his stuffed animals and lining them up on the couch. I was talking to him on the phone. I was asking him what he was doing. He was getting his bears ready to go in the car. I asked him where his bears were going. He said they are going to Vegas mom. So they can come see you. :) He is so thought full. That seemed like a long time away from my family but especially Wes who is just so much fun to be around. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, right?!?

**COWBOY UP***

Last week we went to a Rodeo. The Idaho high school state finals rodeo. Where Brandon's cousin and Wesley's favorite person, Brennan. She did great by the way. Wes was asleep when we got there and took a while to wake him up. So I took him down to get some dinner and he saw a rubber band pistol. He said that would make him feel more happy so I bought it. We went back and enjoyed the rodeo. Wes love the goat tie and the barrel racing. Wes was getting wiggly by the end and wanted to go down to pet the bulls:) So Brandon took him down tried to meet up with Jeff Brandon's uncle, so they could go see the bulls. Well when they got down there happened to be a dress code to get past the fence. A cowboy dress code. Brandon had the boots but nothing else. He explained to Wes that they wouldn't let them past the fence because they weren't dressed like cowboys. And Wes turns to Brandon and says "But dad I have a gun?!?!"

Well This is what our day looked like yesterday. I had lost both my credit cards, I have lost my phone and my back up phone broke and then I went to go get gas in my car and my starter went out. I had a screaming baby in the back that was staving, I had Wes that was trying to "fix" the car. And me who was on the verge of tears. I had called everyone I knew and they were all at a dinner I was supposed to be at. Brandon was on a Hike up Adam's canyon in Fruit Heights. I was stuck. Wes had a great idea he said lets say a pray to have our car start. So he said a pray say " please bless our car to start and because it just won't because its broke." It didn't start...but it started to pour like mad, lightening and thunder. I had a prayer in my heart that the rain would force Brandon and the scouts off the mountain and it did not to long after B called. He had gotten back to the truck and saw my text messages. I burst into tears!! He was on his way, but it would still be another 30 minutes before he got there!! I got off the phone and was still upset and crying a little and Wes says "Mom don't cry. Bad things happen and good things happen, Bad things happen and then good things happen" He was so my good thing in the middle of the bad!! I love this little boy even though I loose patience with him a lot he is quite the opposite with me!! I could not ask for a better kiddo!! He is such a blessing in my life!
Love you bud!
